Turkish Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu said a new system is being prepared to make it easier for patients on medication reports to get their medicines. He told Anadolu Agency the ministry had asked the Labor and Social Security Ministry to prepare it.
"Say you have a six-month medication report. Once the doctor prescribes the drug, you will be able to get it directly from the pharmacy until the treatment changes," he said. The system is not yet in force; he said it would be introduced "very soon."

Family doctors can now prescribe 1,859 additional drugs and issue medication and medical supply reports.
Medication, supply and disability health reports for people over 80 have also started to be issued at home.
