Airstrikes carried out in southern Marib province targeted positions and military vehicles belonging to the Houthis affiliated with the Iran-backed Ansarullah movement.
The Yemeni Armed Forces Media Center said the strikes targeted areas where the Houthis had gathered and their military vehicles at the Umm Rish and Aqabat Mala camps.

Fighting changed areas of control in Yemen
Fighting that intensified again in Yemen from July led to changes in the areas controlled by the parties. After establishing control over the entire Hudaydah province, the Houthis advanced toward western Taiz.

The Houthis took control of cities such as Mocha on the Red Sea coast and routes leading to the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. The Houthis’ capture of the Hanish Islands, Mayyun Island and the Zubab area around Bab el-Mandeb also changed the balance on the battlefield.
