The convoy, organized in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, is waiting at the Ibrahim Khalil Border Crossing on Iraq's border with Türkiye after beginning its journey in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The convoy, joined by around 400 civil activists from 20 countries, is moving under the slogan “Solidarity with the Palestinian people and an end to the occupation.” Diplomatic talks and logistical arrangements are under way to enable the activists to continue along their route.

Waiting at the Ibrahim Khalil Border Crossing
The convoy has been on the Iraqi side of the border crossing since Tuesday evening, after passing through Türkiye's Habur Border Gate.
Convoy spokesperson Hüseyin Durmaz said he had arrived in Iraq two days earlier to facilitate the crossing and had held the necessary talks with Iraqi officials. Durmaz said the initiative was civil and peaceful in nature and that they wanted to draw the international community's attention to the hardships faced by Palestinians.
Durmaz said there were no missing documents or legal problems and alleged that pressure and interventions originating from Israel were behind the delay. Durmaz also claimed that Israel's Ministry of Diaspora Affairs classified the convoy as “high risk” when it entered Türkiye and reached Istanbul.
The convoy spokesperson said talks with officials from countries in the region were continuing and that they expected a positive outcome that would enable the convoy to reach the Jordanian-Palestinian border.

Toll in Gaza and the West Bank
More than 73,000 Palestinians have been killed, over 174,000 people injured and around 90 percent of Gaza's infrastructure destroyed in the attacks that began in 2023.
Although a ceasefire agreement was reached in Gaza in October 2025, violations have continued. During this period, 1,259 Palestinians were killed and 4,148 people were injured.
In the West Bank, attacks by the Israeli army and settlers have killed more than 1,183 Palestinians, injured around 13,000 people and led to the detention of approximately 25,000 others.
