Gaza girl documenting daily life reaches 2026 Digital Creator Awards finals
Palestinian child Nasreen Skik, who documents daily life in the Gaza Strip through short videos, has reached the finals of the junior category at the 2026 Digital Creator Awards among eight contenders from around the world.
Palestinian child Nasreen Skik, 11, from the Gaza Strip has reached the finals of the junior category at the Digital Creator Awards 2026, placing her among eight contenders from around the world in recognition of her short videos documenting the details of daily life in the Strip amid difficult conditions.
Footage showed Nasreen receiving the news of her qualification with tears of joy alongside members of her family. More than 1.4 million people follow her Instagram account, according to Okaz newspaper.
Al-Quds newspaper noted that her selection recognized her efforts to bring the daily suffering of Gaza's residents to the world. The date for announcing the winners has not yet been disclosed.
