Attacks and ceasefire process in Lebanon
Israel's attacks on Lebanon began in October 2023. More than 4,000 people were killed and approximately 17,000 injured during the conflict, which escalated into a full-scale war in September 2024.
On March 2, the Israeli army launched intense airstrikes on Lebanon and occupied many towns in the country's south. The Lebanese government announced that the number of people displaced during this period had exceeded 1 million.
The ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel, which took effect on April 17, was later extended several times. Despite the ceasefire, the Israeli army continued its attacks on Lebanon, citing various reasons.
