Clashes intensify near Bab el-Mandeb
The Yemeni army’s media center said positions, assembly areas and military vehicles belonging to Ansar Allah forces had been targeted on the fronts along the western coasts of Taiz and Hudaydah governorates. The same statement said more than 15 airstrikes had been carried out against those sites.
Clashes between government forces and Ansar Allah have continued in Taiz and Hudaydah since Thursday morning. Fighting has been more intense along some front lines near the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
Both sides have suffered deaths and injuries in the clashes. The ongoing war could increase the number of casualties.
