In its Türkiye Debt Markets Monitor report, Fitch Ratings said the total value of outstanding debt securities in Türkiye surpassed $526 billion at the end of the third quarter of 2026, up 4 percent year on year. The agency expects the figure to reach $550 billion by the end of 2027.
Total debt securities issuance declined to $115.3 billion in the first nine months of the year due to an 8 percent drop in bond issuance, while sukuk issuance rose 46 percent, increasing its share of total issuance from 11 percent to 16 percent.

Outstanding sukuk surpassed $46 billion. Türkiye ranked third among emerging markets excluding China in dollar-denominated debt securities issuance over the nine-month period. It is also one of three G20 countries active in the sukuk market.
The report noted that the share of non-resident investors in domestic government bonds edged down to 7.2 percent at the end of August, while the yield spread between 10-year dollar-denominated government bonds and U.S. Treasury securities narrowed from its March peak.
