The Presidency’s Communications Directorate announced that Türkiye’s Cybersecurity Council convened in Ankara under Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and was presented with the digital sovereignty strategy.
The strategy aims to strengthen Türkiye’s digital sovereignty, reduce reliance on foreign sources for critical technologies, and build national technological capabilities.

The meeting discussed the impact of global and regional geopolitical developments on the cybersecurity environment, recent international cyber incidents, the effect of advances in artificial intelligence on the scale and speed of threats, as well as the risks of algorithmic steering and cognitive influence operations on digital platforms.
It was decided that the relevant institutions would implement the strategy’s decisions within their respective mandates, while monitoring implementation and regularly reviewing progress. The decision also called for stronger coordination among institutions and cooperation with the private sector and academia to develop an integrated cybersecurity ecosystem.
