Some people allegedly attacked government buildings in Ayn al-Arab, a city in Syria’s northern Aleppo province.
Following the attack, the sign on the regional administration building was allegedly taken down. The Syrian Republic flag outside the internal security command headquarters was also allegedly removed.
After the January 18 ceasefire
The ceasefire agreement signed on January 18 by Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa and the Syrian Democratic Forces provided for the integration of SDF personnel into institutions affiliated with the Syrian government.
The agreement was signed after a military operation in which the Syrian army recaptured large areas in the country’s east and northeast. The operation was launched after the SDF allegedly violated its agreements with the government and avoided implementing their provisions.
