Hilali says Syria will soon announce the dissolution of the YPG
Hilali, spokesperson for the Presidential Committee responsible for implementing the January 29 agreement and deputy governor of Hasakah, said an announcement on the dissolution of the YPG would be made soon. He said significant progress had been made in integrating the military, security and civilian institutions within the YPG into state institutions.
Hilali, one of those responsible for implementing the January 29 agreement in Syria, said an announcement on the dissolution of the YPG would be made soon.
In a statement, Hilali, spokesperson for the Presidential Committee responsible for implementing the January 29 agreement and deputy governor of Hasakah, said work had been carried out to resolve various challenges encountered during the recent period. He added that the judicial case file had also been addressed as part of these efforts.
Hilali said significant progress had been made in integrating the military, security and civilian institutions within the YPG into state institutions. He said the difficult stages had been overcome and noted that important progress had also been achieved in implementing measures on the ground.
The Syrian administration and the YPG reached a new agreement on January 29 that provided for a ceasefire and gradual integration.
