Iran’s Foreign Ministry reacted to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to the United Arab Emirates and called on regional countries to take action. The ministry argued that Israel’s presence in the region created a dangerous situation and could have serious consequences.
A statement published on Tuesday alleged that Netanyahu’s visit took place during a sensitive period, amid accusations concerning attacks against Iran and events in Palestine and Lebanon.

Call for regional countries not to allow the use of their territories
Iran’s Foreign Ministry urged regional countries to remain vigilant against Israel’s threats to common peace and security. The statement also called on these countries not to allow their territories to be used for actions that could harm regional stability.

The statement alleged that Netanyahu held a meeting with officials from nine countries during his surprise visit to the United Arab Emirates on September 27. According to the statement, representatives from the United Arab Emirates, Israel, Saudi Arabia, the United States, Morocco, Kuwait, Bahrain, Libya, Oman and Egypt took part in the meeting.
The course of Iran-US tensions
The statement said that the United States and Israel launched a war against Iran on February 28, 2026, that thousands of people were killed in the fighting and that Iran responded with attacks on Israel and US targets in the region. It said the parties later reached a ceasefire agreement in April.

The statement said tensions between Iran and the United States resurfaced after US attacks on targets in Iran. Disputes over navigation in the Strait of Hormuz disrupted negotiations between the two countries, while the parties signed a memorandum of understanding in mid-June.
