Behnam Saeedi, secretary of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security Commission, said Israeli vessels would not be allowed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz even after the war ends.
Speaking to Iranian state television, Saeedi said Iran would close the strait to vessels from countries it considers enemies. He said passage would also be denied to vessels linked to Israel if they fly another country’s flag or carry Israeli products.
Saeedi also announced that US-owned commercial and military vessels would not be allowed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. He said the restriction would remain in place until the United States ends its threats and hostile actions toward Iran.
