Damage at Iran's Asaluyeh gas processing facility in Bushehr province caused a loss of approximately 95 million cubic meters in the country's daily natural gas production capacity. Iranian Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad announced that this loss would be restored by September 22.
Paknejad said that part of the facility was damaged during the recent war that began with attacks against Iran. He said gas production volumes at Asaluyeh declined following the attacks and stated that the damaged section would be brought back online once repairs were completed.
Nationwide loss reaches 230 million cubic meters
Iranian government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani also said in a statement on July 28 that the country's total daily natural gas production capacity had declined by 230 million cubic meters during the recent war.
