Southern Lebanon came under airstrikes, artillery fire, home demolitions and machine-gun fire by Israeli forces. The attacks took place in several areas of the Tyre, Nabatieh, Bint Jbeil and Sidon districts.
Explosions in Tyre were felt across the city’s outskirts
Lebanon’s official news agency reported that Israeli attacks affected the towns of Mansouri and Majdal Zoun in the Tyre district, as well as East Zauter and Upper Nabatieh in the Nabatieh district, Haddatha in the Bint Jbeil district and the Zahrani area in the Sidon district.

Large explosions occurred in Mansouri following an airstrike on the town. The tremors caused by the explosions were heard in the city of Tyre and nearby villages.
Israeli forces had previously placed explosives in some homes in Mansouri and later blew up the structures. A major explosion also occurred in Majdal Zoun.
Areas around Nabatieh and Bint Jbeil also targeted
In the Nabatieh district, Israeli warplanes carried out two separate attacks during the night on the area around East Zauter and the vicinity of Scout City near the town. Ali al-Taher Hill, near Upper Nabatieh, came under intermittent artillery fire.

Machine-gun fire was directed toward Haddatha in the Bint Jbeil district, while Israeli military vehicles were seen moving inside the town. In the Zahrani area of the Sidon district, an Israeli drone was reported flying at low altitude.
Initial information on the attacks contained no statement indicating that anyone had been killed or wounded.
Attacks continued despite the June 26 framework formula
Beirut and Tel Aviv signed a “framework formula” in Washington on June 26 under U.S. auspices. The formula provided for the gradual withdrawal of Israeli forces from Lebanese territory and the deployment of the Lebanese army in the areas vacated.

Attacks in southern Lebanon continued despite the agreement, while Israeli forces remained in areas where they had maintained control for decades in some cases and had taken control during recent wars and military operations in others.
According to Lebanese authorities, at least 4,386 people have been killed, 12,413 wounded and more than 1 million displaced in Israeli attacks that have continued since March 2.
