Israeli forces detained more than 40 Palestinians in a large-scale raid on the town of Tel in the northern occupied West Bank. The operation was carried out on Saturday in the town near Nablus.
According to the Palestinian official radio "Ses FM", Israeli forces seized a house during the operation and turned it into a field interrogation center, surrounding the town from all directions. Wide-scale raids on homes were carried out in the besieged area.
Israeli army radio reported that the army raided the home of the perpetrator of an attack in Tel and began an engineering inspection to demolish the house. The same source announced that dozens of Palestinians were interrogated on the field, and some of them were subsequently detained.
Local sources speaking to an Anadolu Agency correspondent stated that Israeli soldiers uprooted hundreds of olive trees during the raid and destroyed large agricultural lands with bulldozers.
Elsewhere in the West Bank, the Palestinian Red Crescent announced that 8 Palestinians were wounded in a settler attack on the village of Farata east of Qalqilya. Six of the wounded were hit by live bullets, it added.
