Israeli forces entered the area west of the village of Sayda al-Hanut, in southern Quneitra province, with two tanks and other military vehicles and opened fire toward residential areas. On the same day, the vicinity of the village of Abidin in western Daraa province also came under artillery fire.

Alikhbaria TV reported that the incidents took place on Saturday. Abidin is located in the Yarmouk Basin in western Daraa, and the area around the village was also targeted by Israeli artillery in September.
Initial reports indicated that the attacks caused no casualties or damage.

Israeli forces have been conducting operations on Syrian territory since the Bashar al-Assad administration was overthrown in late 2024. Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa said in a speech to the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly that Israel had carried out approximately 500 air and artillery strikes, committed more than 1,200 ground incursions and detained around 300 people since then.
