Syria's official news agency reported that a disabled civilian was shot and killed during a ground operation by Israeli forces in the village of Jamla, west of Daraa governorate. The body was taken to Daraa National Hospital.
Israeli soldiers searched some homes during the operation. The agency said snipers were deployed on the roofs of residential buildings and that indiscriminate fire was directed at residential areas.
Successive operations around Daraa
The entry into Jamla village came one day after Israeli tanks bombarded the area around Abidin village in western Daraa. The bombardment took place on Wednesday, according to the agency.
Syria's Foreign Ministry condemned Israeli operations in Quneitra governorate and the Daraa countryside on Sunday. The ministry also said that helicopter, reconnaissance aircraft and fighter jet flights over the area had increased.

The ministry said the ongoing violations were undermining the prospects for establishing stability and security in Syria and across the region. It added that the violations were also hindering reconstruction and recovery efforts.
Syria's Foreign Ministry called on the international community to stop the violations and ensure that Israel complies with international law and the relevant resolutions of the United Nations.
Israeli operations in southern Syria
Israeli forces have carried out repeated operations in southern Syria since the Bashar al-Assad administration ended in December 2024. During the same period, Israel declared the 1974 disengagement agreement void and seized Syria's buffer zone.
