The Iraq-based resistance group Kataib Hezbollah once again voiced its unwavering support for the Islamic Revolution in Iran and its determination on the path of resistance. Group leader Abu Hussein al-Hamidawi, in a statement on Friday, called on the Iraqi government and political leaders to respect the will of the Arab nation.
Al-Hamidawi said, "The oppressors must know that witnessing the assassination of the leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, who is the leader of freedom-loving peoples and the supporter of the world's oppressed, is very difficult and unbearable for us. His killers are oblivious to the divine punishment."
Emphasizing that it has been a blessing to adhere to Ayatollah Khamenei's guidance for decades, al-Hamidawi said they would not divert from his path and would continue to draw inspiration from his ideas.
The Kataib Hezbollah leader pointed out that his group had fought on various fronts for many years, citing its extensive resistance history, from the struggle against the deposed Baath regime, to resistance against the US-led invasion in 2003, fighting takfiri groups like Al-Qaeda and ISIS, attacks on US bases in West Asia, and most recently, actions within the framework of the Hamas-led Al-Aqsa Flood Operation. He also mentioned Iran's retaliatory operations in response to the 12-day US-Israeli attacks.
Al-Hamidawi announced that the resistance group's support for the Islamic Revolution in Iran is unwavering and that they fully pledge allegiance to Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei as the new leader.
The Iraqi leader stated that the massive public participation in Ayatollah Khamenei's funeral and farewell ceremonies proved that the nation is a nation of resistance and jihad.
