Holding a Yemeni passport will be sufficient for legal residency procedures in Saudi Arabia. The measure will be implemented in line with an order from King Salman to legalize the status of Yemenis residing illegally in the country.
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior announced that the measure would be implemented at the request of Rashad Mohammed al-Alimi, chairman of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council.
Work on the regulation will be carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, and the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority. The Ministry of Interior said the step continued the support provided to the Yemeni people.
Announcements regarding the process will be made through official accounts.
