Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Monday that Israel is creating facts on the ground that contradict United Nations resolutions on the creation of a Palestinian state, calling it a cause for concern.
Lavrov said what was particularly alarming was that Israel was creating facts on the ground that directly contradict UN decisions on establishing a Palestinian state.
Support for Lebanon’s sovereignty

Lavrov spoke at a news conference after talks in Moscow with Lebanese Foreign and Emigrants Minister Youssef Rajji. He called for an immediate ceasefire, reaffirmed Russia’s support for Lebanon’s sovereignty and for full implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701, and pledged more Russian aid to Lebanon.
Lavrov said Moscow welcomed the launch of direct dialogue between Israel and Lebanon mediated by the United States, and invited Rajji to the seventh session of the Russian-Arab Cooperation Forum at foreign-minister level, scheduled to be held in Moscow before the end of the year.
