Demonstrations were held in Morocco’s Casablanca and Kenitra on the third anniversary of the Gaza war, with messages of support for Palestine and opposition to normalization with Israel. Dozens of people took part in the rallies, which included calls for solidarity with the Palestinians.
Opposition to normalization in Casablanca
Demonstrators gathered at Marshal Square in Casablanca for a rally called by the Moroccan Front to Support Palestine and Oppose Normalization. The nongovernmental organization called for support for the Palestinians and the rejection of all forms of normalization with Israel.
Protesters carried placards bearing slogans saying that Palestine is a trust above divisions and that normalization amounts to treason. Some placards also contained messages of support for Palestinian resistance groups.

Gaza death toll
The figures for Israel’s attacks on Gaza, which began in October 2023, show that more than 74,000 Palestinians have been killed, more than 175,000 people have been injured and approximately 90 percent of the infrastructure has been destroyed.
Attacks have continued in Gaza since the ceasefire took effect on October 10, 2025, with 1,467 Palestinians killed and 5,161 injured since that date.
Messages on Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque in Kenitra
The demonstration in Kenitra was held at the call of the Moroccan Support and Aid Initiative. Marching in solidarity with the Palestinians, the protesters expressed support for Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The rally protested attempts to alter the identity of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque. The demonstrators also opposed plans to divide Al-Aqsa Mosque by time and space, as well as propaganda for the construction of a so-called temple.
History of Morocco-Israel relations
Morocco resumed diplomatic relations with Israel on December 10, 2020. The relations had been severed in 2000.
Some organizations in the country continue to hold protests calling for an end to normalization with Israel.
