Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met in Yerevan at the Leaders’ Summit held as part of the 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity.
During the meeting, Pezeshkian said US policies were creating problems that affect not only Iran but the whole world. Saying the global situation would deteriorate further if Washington maintained its current approach, Pezeshkian said: “It would be better for the US to engage in dialogue within the framework of reason instead of using force.”
Pezeshkian said Iran would continue its relations with the world together with its people and in coordination with its neighbors, adding that the US needed to understand this.

Cooperation between Iran and Armenia
In the meeting, which also addressed Iran-Armenia relations, Pezeshkian said cooperation between Tehran and Yerevan should be developed in various fields, adding that Iran was determined to do so.
Pashinyan pointed to the historical and cultural ties between the two countries. Noting that Armenia was seeking to develop its relations with neighboring countries, he said they wanted peace and stability in the region.
