Russian President Vladimir Putin met Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in Türkmenbaşy, Turkmenistan, on the sidelines of the CIS and Caspian summits.
"On our part, we are ready to do everything we can to help you resolve this situation," Putin said, according to Interfax, adding that Iran was making real efforts to end a conflict that broke out through no fault of its own and had again come forward with new proposals for a peaceful solution.

New Iran-US proposals
Pezeshkian said Tehran and Washington had exchanged new proposals aimed at ending the war and reopening the Strait of Hormuz, and that once revised they would sit down through existing intermediaries.
