Saudi Arabia’s Civil Defense Directorate activated an early warning system in the cities of Najran and Jizan.
People who received warning messages in Najran, on the Yemen border, and Jizan, a coastal city in the country’s central regions, were urged to remain calm and follow the instructions of official authorities.
Residents were told to move to a safe room away from windows and not to leave the building until the danger had passed. People outdoors were advised to take shelter in the nearest building or move behind a protective barrier.

The Civil Defense Directorate announced shortly afterward that the danger had passed.
