Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Naqdi, senior adviser to the commander-in-chief of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, told the Young Journalists Club that if Americans acted on accurate calculations and their own interests, they would certainly not launch a military attack.

"Anything is possible from a desperate, defeated actor stuck in a dead end; there is even a chance it will commit suicide. So they may attack, but such a move would above all be the final blow and certain suicide for America itself," Naqdi said.
