Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan said the kingdom “rejects all attempts to displace the Palestinian people,” stressing the need to preserve Palestinians’ rights, in Saudi Arabia’s address to the general debate of the 81st UN General Assembly on Saturday, September 26.
He said any security arrangements for the region must be comprehensive and address the sources of threat, and stressed that the region must be free of weapons of mass destruction.
The minister also condemned Houthi attacks and threats to shipping in the Bab el-Mandeb, rejected the use of waterways as a tool of blackmail, and said Gulf security is tied to energy security and the continuity of supply chains.
