Saudi Arabian authorities issued emergency alerts in seven regions, a day after announcing that debris from a Houthi unmanned aerial vehicle intercepted over Taif province in western Saudi Arabia had killed one person and injured two others.
Saudi Arabia’s Civil Defense authorities urged residents on Friday to follow instructions sent through the national early-warning platform.

The alerts were issued in Jeddah, Taif, Yanbu, AlUla, Khamis Mushait, Jizan and Abha. Authorities did not disclose the nature of the threat that prompted the emergency alerts.
Civil Defense authorities later announced that the danger had passed in five provinces. No deaths or damage linked to the alerts were reported.
