US President Donald Trump warned that if Democrats come to power, his country could face a crisis similar to the migrant influx from North Africa to Spain. In a statement to Fox News, Trump described the images of recent mass crossings from Morocco to Ceuta, Spain's territory in North Africa, as 'horrible'.
"Remember that photo. If the wrong side takes power, in three years we will be just like that," Trump said, adding, "If Democrats take power, you won't have a very good life."
Spanish officials announced that tens of thousands of irregular migrants have crossed from Morocco to Ceuta in recent days. According to preliminary estimates from Spain's National Police, more than 49,000 people entered Ceuta from Morocco in the last 24 hours. It was stated that determining the exact number is difficult.
A Spanish government source reported that migrants continued crossing overnight and into the early hours of Friday morning, with no sign that the influx would slow down soon.

Spanish officials also announced that 34 people have died in recent days during attempts to cross the border.
Ceuta, the Spanish autonomous city that shares a land border with Morocco on Africa's northern coast, has long served as one of the external borders of the European Union. The enclave is a frequent crossing point for migrants seeking to enter Europe from North Africa.
