Türkiye's Damascus Ambassador Nuh Yılmaz visited Syria's Information Minister Halid Zarzur
Türkiye's Damascus Ambassador Nuh Yılmaz congratulated Syria's Information Minister Halid Zarzur on his appointment. Institutional cooperation and joint projects between the two countries were discussed.
Türkiye's Damascus Ambassador Nuh Yılmaz congratulated Syria's Information Minister Halid Zarzur on his appointment.
Ambassador Yılmaz visited Zarzur at the ministry office in the capital Damascus on Monday and wished him success in his new role.
Also present at the meeting were Muhammed İhsan Özdemir, Damascus Advisor of the Presidency's Directorate of Communications, and Ali Rifai, Director of Public Relations at Syria's Ministry of Information.
The sides exchanged views on strengthening the capacity of institutions in the new Syria and ensuring institutional coordination, as well as on joint projects and areas of cooperation.
Halid Zarzur was appointed as Information Minister by decree No. 100 issued by Syrian President Ahmed Shara in May 2026.
