Two Palestinians were wounded in the southern West Bank as attacks against Palestinians and the establishment of new settlement outposts continued in the area. The incidents took place as violations against olive harvesters were taking place.
Two Palestinians taken to hospital
Osama Muhamere, a human rights activist from the Yatta area, said settlers blocked the path of two Palestinians and beat them.
The settlers attacked Mohammed Yusuf Muhamere while he was driving an agricultural tractor near the al-Fahyt settlement. Muhamere was wounded and detained by the Israeli army after the incident.
Isa Isa Awad, a resident of the village of Tuba who was accompanying Muhamere during the attack, was also beaten. Awad sustained an eye injury and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Thirteen attacks on olive harvesters
The Palestinian Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission announced that 13 attacks targeting olive harvesters had been recorded in four towns in the West Bank. Farmers and people showing solidarity were wounded in the attacks; one Palestinian was detained and several people were held.

The violations listed by the commission included beatings, the theft of olives and harvesting equipment, damage to vehicles, and preventing farmers from reaching their land.
Three new settlement outposts in the West Bank
A new settlement outpost was established in an area containing olive groves in Wadi al-Ahmar, between the villages of Yasuf and Marda, near Salfit in the northern West Bank.
Another new settlement outpost was established on Palestinian land in the village of Jiftlik, northeast of Jericho. Firas Jihalin, head of the Jiftlik Local Council, said settlers had brought vehicles and construction equipment to the area and installed metal arches and tarpaulins in preparation for construction.
The third settlement outpost was established in an area near the northern entrance to the city of al-Bireh in the central West Bank, on the hill opposite the al-Balua neighborhood and along the road leading to the village of Beitin.
