The United Arab Emirates returned more than 200 refrigerated containers carrying agricultural products from Iran, Iranian official Reza Nourani said.
Reza Nourani, head of Iran's National Union of Agricultural Products, said the shipment included fruit, vegetables and other agricultural products transported in 40-foot refrigerated containers.

The shipment is valued at $3 million
Nourani said the total weight of the returned products was around 4,000 tons, while their economic value was estimated at approximately $3 million.
He added that after being returned, the containers remained in Gulf waters near Abu Musa Island.
UAE has not explained why the shipment was returned

The Iranian official said the UAE had not yet publicly explained why the containers were returned.
These developments are raising concerns among Iranian producers and exporters, particularly because a large portion of the shipment consists of perishable agricultural products.
Iranian exporters await a solution
Iran's National Union of Agricultural Products said it was ready to cooperate with the relevant authorities to determine the cause of the problem and work toward a swift solution for the shipments.
Nourani warned that continued delays could cause additional losses for producers and exporters because of the perishable nature of the products.
