A new video showed an Iranian missile landing just meters from US soldiers at a US military base in the UAE. Meanwhile, Midas Touch, in cooperation with the Valor media network, published dozens of previously unpublished photos and videos documenting the destruction at US bases across the region.
Gulf and Jordan bases under fire
The two outlets said the images showed destroyed dining facilities and barracks, as well as burning aircraft, at Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia. An E-3 early-warning aircraft was damaged in an attack that injured between 10 and 12 service members and damaged two KC-135 aerial refueling aircraft, they said. At Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan, soldiers described nearly three months of almost continuous bombardment since March, with damage affecting F-15 and F-35 fighter jets, MQ-9 drones and helicopters.
In Kuwait, Camp Buehring appeared nearly deserted in images taken in September, while military personnel in the UAE said some had taken shelter in hotels and others had dug trenches themselves. The images also showed damage at the headquarters of the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain.

“Far worse than people realize”
“The situation is far worse than people realize,” one service member said. Soldiers and their families, speaking on condition of anonymity, described chaotic evacuations, a lack of advance warning and inadequate protection. Midas Touch said it was unable to independently verify some of the accounts, while the US Department of Defense did not confirm several of the reported losses.
The US Department of Defense inspector general had estimated equipment losses at up to $3.7 billion, including about 60 aircraft, since the war with Iran began in late February.
