Following Israel's attack on the Dahiyeh district of Beirut, Lebanon's capital, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf sharply criticized the United States.
In a statement posted on his social media account in the evening, Ghalibaf said this attack once again revealed that the US either lacks the will or the power to implement its commitments.
The Iranian politician emphasized, "The bad cop, good cop game is now outdated," underlining that the US cannot give Israel a green light and then try to profit from it.
Ghalibaf added, "If you do not have the will and power to fulfill your commitments, it is impossible to talk about continuing on this path."
Hours earlier, the Israeli military announced it targeted a Hezbollah center in the Dahiyeh area of Beirut in response to attacks launched from Lebanon.
The text also mentioned that Iran and the US are preparing to sign an agreement. It was noted that the Iranian side insists that any potential deal should include a cessation of the war in Lebanon.
The source text also indicated that some reports suggest the electronic signing ceremony of the agreement is planned for today; however, this detail requires verification.
Additionally, the text recalled that Israel targeted the Dahiyeh district of Beirut on the 17th of the month, which was followed by about 16 hours of tension between Iran and Israel.
