Gaza’s Ministry of Education and Higher Education said six Palestinian students died in Israeli attacks over the past two days. The ministry said some students were injured in the attacks and that two children were among those wounded in the morning.
According to the ministry’s statement, Israeli soldiers bombed Muradiye Girls’ School and its surroundings in the Jabalia area of the northern Gaza Strip. Two female students were injured in the attack.
Condition of the injured students
The injured students were identified as sixth-grader Suad Kandil Mansour Abdurabbu and fourth-grader Amina Khalid Ali Khudair. The statement said Suad suffered a gunshot wound to her leg and underwent surgery, while Amina sustained an injury to her abdomen.
Gaza’s Ministry of Education and Higher Education said attacks targeting Palestinian children and students were becoming increasingly dangerous and systematic.

"Schools should be safe places for education and must not become sites of fear, injury and death."
The ministry called on the United Nations, international organizations involved in protecting children and education, and human rights institutions to intervene urgently. The statement called for the safety of students and education workers to be ensured, attacks on schools and their surroundings to stop, and those responsible to be held accountable.
Education planned for approximately 541,000 students in Gaza
According to data from the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education, approximately 700 in-person education points are planned to be established in the Gaza Strip in the new academic year, despite the extensive destruction of schools. The aim is to include approximately 541,000 students in the education process through remote-learning opportunities.
The ministry said that since October 2023, Israeli attacks on Gaza had destroyed much of the infrastructure, including schools and hospitals. The statement said more than 74,000 Palestinians had died, more than 175,000 people had been injured, and approximately 90 percent of the Gaza Strip’s infrastructure had been destroyed in the attacks.
