Several military camps belonging to Yemen's Emergency Response Forces and armed forces were targeted in attacks. The Yemen Emergency Response Forces said the incidents caused casualties and material damage.
In addition to camps operated by the Emergency Response Forces, which are known to be close to the government, sites housing armed forces units were also targeted. The statement did not provide any figures for the number of people killed or injured.
The attacks came after the armed forces recently conducted security and military operations under instructions from the Defense Ministry. The operations were intended to secure the regions, protect international highways, combat gangs involved in smuggling and highway robberies, and apprehend wanted individuals.
Yahya Saree, the Houthis' military spokesman, also announced that he would soon issue a statement on large-scale attacks.
