Hundreds of pro-Palestinian protesters marched in Berlin on the third anniversary of the Oct. 7, 2023 attack, chanting slogans including "Free Palestine."
The march, joined by Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg, wound through the Kreuzberg and Neukölln districts with Palestinian flags.

According to local media, Berlin saw 10 registered demonstrations that day, eight in solidarity with Israel and two pro-Palestinian, with around 1,000 police officers deployed across the city.
Police ended the march: more than 1,000 people marched from Oranienplatz toward Hermannplatz, but when they reached the Kottbusser Tor station, police ended the demonstration citing a serious threat to public safety and detained dozens who refused to leave.
