The Israeli army announced that since March 2, 30 officers and soldiers have been killed and 1,347 soldiers wounded in renewed clashes in Southern Lebanon. It was reported that 45 soldiers were injured in the last three days.
Israel's Channel 12, citing a security source, reported that the army has begun to reduce its operations in Lebanon while awaiting a decision from the political leadership. However, the report noted that Israeli forces continue to maintain their presence in areas they consider strategic.
The same report stated that Israeli troops will continue to operate in the area known as the "Yellow Line" in Southern Lebanon and have not received any orders to withdraw from current positions or to halt operations.
Meanwhile, intermittent Israeli shelling was reported in some areas of Lebanon. Shelling occurred around Nabatiye el-Fawqa, Kafr Tibnit, Yohmor al-Shakif, and Zawtar al-Sharkiya while civilians were returning to their villages. No casualties were reported in these attacks.
Lebanese security sources also said that Hezbollah targeted Israeli vehicles attempting to advance towards the Ali al-Tahir hills with two rockets. There has been no statement from Hezbollah regarding this matter yet.
The course of the clashes, losses on the front, and reciprocal fire on the ground continue to be closely monitored.
