The Syrian Civil Defence announced that five civilians from one family, including three children and a woman, were killed and three others injured in an airstrike targeting a tent in the village of Al-Tuff in the Lajat area of the Daraa countryside, while local sources reported that between seven and eight people were killed.
The airstrikes were carried out as part of an operation Jordan called “Jordanian Deterrence – Hamoud,” targeting sites in the Daraa and Suwayda countryside in southern Syria on October 26.
Jordan announced that the operation was conducted in coordination with Damascus, while Syria denied any coordination and announced an investigation into the airstrikes. The Nassib border crossing between the two countries was also closed.

The operation followed an attack targeting a church in the village of Hamoud in Jordan’s Karak Governorate, which killed seven people. Jordanian authorities announced the arrest of three alleged perpetrators who belonged to the same family.
