Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman said in a speech at the 25th WPC Energy Congress in Riyadh that the events of recent weeks were serious and that the kingdom’s response to them must be very serious as well.
He added that the kingdom’s focus remained on Vision 2030 and that investment must keep moving forward, particularly in the energy sector and related industries. Saudi Arabia, he said, is determined to deliver development for its people and to meet its commitments to international partners.
A message of reassurance after Houthi attacks

The minister’s remarks come as Saudi Arabia has faced Houthi attacks in recent weeks targeting airports and facilities on its territory.
Earlier in the day, opening the International Energy Forum ministerial meeting in Riyadh, Prince Abdulaziz said the kingdom would secure energy supplies under all circumstances.
