The 12th round of the Roshn Saudi League became the highest-scoring round in the competition's history after 41 goals were scored, averaging more than four goals per match and surpassing the previous record of 40 goals set in the fifth round last season.
The round featured several big victories. Al-Qadsiah defeated hosts Al-Riyadh 6-0, Al-Shabab beat Al-Ahli 6-1 to hand them the heaviest defeat in their Saudi Pro League history, while Al-Nassr defeated Al-Khulood 5-3. The round also saw seven penalty kicks and one red card, shown to Al-Ahli goalkeeper Abdulrahman Al-Sanbi.

Belgian forward Yannick Carrasco scored a hat trick for Al-Shabab against Al-Ahli, while Ricardo Matias opened the scoring just one minute and six seconds after kickoff.
Al-Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo rediscovered his hat-trick form by scoring three second-half goals against Al-Khulood, 908 days after his previous hat trick. He raised his professional career tally to 985 goals, 15 short of 1,000, and moved clear as the player with the most hat tricks in the Roshn Saudi League, with seven.
