Search continues for 13 Iranian fishermen missing at sea for seven days
Efforts continue to find 13 fishermen from the city of Bandar Lengeh in Iran’s Hormozgan province who have not returned from the sea for seven days. Technical searches around Siri Island have produced no results, while Iran is corresponding with its embassies in Oman, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar to determine the fishermen’s fate.
Search efforts are under way to locate 13 fishermen from the city of Bandar Lengeh in Iran’s Hormozgan province who went missing at sea. The fishermen have not returned from the sea for seven days.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry has begun corresponding with its embassies in Oman, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar to determine whether the fishermen were detained or accidentally entered the territorial waters of those countries.
Search teams are continuing technical operations in the waters around Siri Island. However, the searches have produced no results so far.
No reliable information is yet available about the fate of the 13 fishermen.
