The Arab al-Kaabine Bedouin community east of Ramallah faced a new attack on Friday. Beyder, a Palestinian organization defending Bedouin rights, announced that attacks on the community in the central occupied West Bank had intensified.
Beyder said the community east of the village of Taybeh was attacked on Friday and that the same area had also been subjected to a similar attack on Wednesday evening.
Sheep driven among homes
According to the organization, settlers entered the community under the protection of the Israeli army and forcibly drove their sheep among Palestinian homes.
The statement said that some members of the Naif Kaabine family were also attacked. Beyder said the repeated attacks were part of a policy of pressure aimed at displacing Bedouin communities.
The Israeli army did not immediately comment on the incidents cited by Beyder.
Toll of attacks in the West Bank
The Palestinian Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission reported that settlers carried out 3,488 attacks in the West Bank during the first half of 2026. According to the commission's data, 17 Palestinians were killed in these attacks, while 26 Bedouin and livestock-raising communities were completely or partially displaced.
The commission also announced that 42 new settlement outposts, most of them used for livestock-raising purposes, were established following the attacks.
According to Palestinian official figures, more than 1,182 Palestinians have been killed, around 13,000 injured and approximately 25,000 detained in the West Bank as a result of attacks by the Israeli army and settlers since October 8, 2023. The attacks were said to have caused extensive material damage.
