Direct air links between Damascus and Moscow resumed after approximately 18 months with a Syrian Airlines flight on Sunday, August 16.
The passenger aircraft operated by Syria’s national carrier was welcomed at Sheremetyevo Airport with a water salute held to mark the opening of the new route. The flight operated on the Damascus–Moscow–Damascus route.
Flights will operate every Sunday
