Turkish pop star Tarkan re-recorded his song "Uyan" (Wake Up) in English under the title "Wake Up" in support of the 31st Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP31), which Türkiye will host in Antalya. The project was carried out with the artist's voluntary participation.
A call to the world
Tarkan wrote and composed the original song. In the nearly three-minute video, he sings amid burning forests, drought-cracked land and ocean scenes, alongside images of plastic waste and participants from different backgrounds singing the song. The video calls for individual and collective responsibility and action before it is too late.

Countdown to the Antalya summit
The conference will take place from November 9 to 20 at the Antalya Expo Center. Türkiye's Environment Minister Murat Kurum said 91 heads of state had so far confirmed their participation, while delegations from 196 countries, around 300 ministers and up to 1.5 million visitors are expected to attend.
As part of its promotional campaign for the summit, Türkiye also released an English-language song titled "Let's COP", along with a promotional film about a female ice skater on cracking ice.
