Conservative American media personality Tucker Carlson claimed that the administration of President Donald Trump could be days away from carrying out a nuclear strike on Iran under pressure from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He said the target would be Pickaxe Mountain in central Iran.
Carlson said Israeli intelligence claims that Tehran has resumed uranium enrichment in tunnels beneath the mountain, and that U.S. conventional weapons cannot penetrate about 90 meters of granite, making a nuclear strike “the only military option.” He cited an unnamed informed source as saying that Netanyahu “calls Trump every day” about the matter.

According to Carlson, Trump is expected to make his decision by Nov. 7, but remains hesitant and is listening to Vice President J.D. Vance and his envoy Steve Witkoff, who believe an agreement with Iran is possible. He claimed that Netanyahu secretly traveled to Abu Dhabi on Sept. 27 to rally the United Arab Emirates' support for a final attack on Iran, but that Emirati officials refused.
Carlson warned that a nuclear explosion in the mountain would contaminate Gulf waters and threaten water supplies for around 100 million people. He said Gulf economies have been staggering after eight months of conflict and that 11 giant oil tankers were damaged in the Strait of Hormuz in October alone.
Carlson provided no documents to support his claims. His warning came hours after Trump said at a campaign rally in Iowa: “At some point, we're going to have to hit them with the hammer,” two days before the U.S. midterm elections.
