Eight Palestinians, including a child, were killed Sunday in Israeli strikes on Khan Younis and Gaza City, despite the ceasefire agreement that has been in effect since October 2025, according to medical sources.
A medical source at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis said five Palestinians were killed in a strike on the al-Mawasi area west of the city, near schools for children. Gaza’s Ministry of Interior and National Security said the five were police officers and personnel targeted “while performing their regular duties.” The ministry said the number of police personnel killed since the ceasefire began had risen to 75 and called on the international community to take urgent action.

In Gaza City, three Palestinians, including a child, were killed and six others injured in a strike on al-Thawra Street in the west of the city, a source at al-Shifa Hospital said. In Khan Younis, a two-year-old girl was also shot in the head by Israeli fire. Her condition was described as moderate.
According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, Israeli attacks since the ceasefire began on October 10, 2025, have killed 1,580 people and injured 5,711. The overall toll since October 2023 has reached approximately 74,594 killed and 175,834 injured.
