Türkiye has launched an official song for the UN Climate Change Conference COP31, which the city of Antalya will host next month. COP31 President and Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum unveiled the song, titled “Let’s COP,” under the slogan “One world, one call.”
Performed in English, the song calls for action to address climate change, build a shared future, and protect the oceans, forests and future generations. The music video showcases Türkiye’s natural beauty and cultural heritage, from Antalya’s coasts and rivers to its forests, mountains and archaeological theatres.
Premiere in Istanbul
Kurum first presented the song during a meeting in Istanbul with media editors-in-chief to discuss preparations for the conference. He said the summit’s artistic and cultural programs were among the initiatives that excited him most and that the conference should be promoted more strongly through art.
Türkiye will host the Conference of the Parties for the first time, with COP31 taking place in Antalya from November 9 to 20.
