Türkiye's Justice Minister Akın Gürlek announced that authorities have so far taken judicial action against 404 people as part of investigations into capital market manipulation. He said 88 suspects had been remanded in custody, 26 others had been detained, and judicial control measures had been imposed on 195 people.
In a written statement, Gürlek added that efforts to apprehend 42 fugitive suspects were continuing without interruption, and that the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had taken significant measures concerning the financial aspect of the investigations.

According to the minister, decisions were issued to freeze bank accounts, seize assets and prevent the transfer of real estate ownership belonging to 351 natural persons and 102 legal entities, with the aim of protecting the assets under investigation and monitoring financial movements.
He said that individuals and companies believed to have made illicit profits were continuing to return the funds to accounts opened with the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund, stressing that the state would pursue all legal stages to the end so that no citizen's rights would be lost.
