The Erzincan Bögert Mineral Water Factory is preparing to export to Iran, Syria and Iraq and plans to increase its production capacity to meet demand from domestic and international markets.
Demand for the mineral water produced at the municipality-owned factory, located 14 kilometers from Erzincan city center, has also risen domestically with the arrival of warmer weather. The products are prepared in plain, lemon, mandarin, pomegranate and apple varieties; they are described as aiding digestion and helping replenish lost minerals and salt in a short time.
Preparing to export to Iran, Syria and Iraq
The factory produces approximately 12 million bottles annually. Eighteen percent of this output is sent to the Netherlands, Switzerland, Belgium, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan and Afghanistan.
Kenan Çeribaşı, manager of the Erzincan Bögert Mineral Water Factory, said they were working to expand their export network to include Iran, Syria and Iraq. Çeribaşı announced that they planned to begin sending products to these countries soon.
Production target of more than 25,000 bottles per hour next season
Çeribaşı said the factory maintains high production levels during the summer season, producing 10,000 bottles per hour and nearly 1 million bottles per month. He said production was continuing without interruption to meet demand in domestic and international markets.
Çeribaşı said they had submitted new projects to development agencies to expand the production network, adding that they aimed to increase hourly production to more than 25,000 bottles next season and operate the factory around the clock.
Çeribaşı said they aimed to bring the mineral water to more households through the capacity increase.
