Lebanese singer Fadel Shaker returned to the stage after a 14-year absence and performed at two concerts on October 22 and 23 at the Abu Bakr Salem Theater in Riyadh as part of Riyadh Season. The concerts were titled "The Return of the Absent," a name announced by Turki Alalshikh, chairman of the General Entertainment Authority.
Organizers announced that tickets for both nights had sold out. Ticket prices for the first night ranged from 475 to 950 riyals, Okaz reported.
Shaker withdrew from the music scene in 2012 and went into hiding in a Palestinian refugee camp following deadly clashes in Sidon in 2013. The National reported that his return came after the charges against him in Lebanon were dropped.
Shaker is scheduled to perform in Qatar and Jordan in the coming days, the newspaper reported. He won the Favorite Artist and Favorite Song awards at the 2026 Joy Awards ceremony.
